The Windermere Kingdom (ウィンダミア王国（風の王国） Uindamia Ōkoku (Kaze no Ōkoku)), also known as the Kingdom of the Wind, is a sovereign nation on the planet Windermere IV, located 800 light years away from Ragna, as seen in the Macross Δ television series, its theatrical adaptation, Macross Δ Movie: Passionate Walküre, and its sequel movie Macross Δ Movie: Absolute Live!!!!!!. The center of the kingdom is the castle Darwent.
History[]
In A.D. 2027, Windermereans first encountered humans upon the Megaroad-04's discovery of their planet. Diplomatic relations were established on terms which some Windermereans strongly resented.
After a war of secession against the New United Nations Government around 2060 which ended abruptly with the detonation of a Dimension Eater that took millions of lives, the Kingdom secured its independence. Due to security concerns and for propaganda purposes, Windermere severely restricted its citizens from interstellar travel.
In 2067, King Gramia Nerich Windermere resumed hostilities against the N.U.N.S. in order to seize the entire Brisingr Globular Cluster. As part of their plans, Windermere deployed the Aerial Knights and remotely triggered the Vár Syndrome by projecting Heinz Nehrich Windermere's song through the Sigur Valens, a Protoculture shrine unearthed near the Windermerean capital.
